Since 2007, GSH has been committed to serving communities across New Jersey by providing safe housing, compassionate case management, and life skills training to homeless youth and vulnerable families. What started as a focused effort to address youth homelessness has grown into a network of supportive programs designed to meet people where they are and help them move forward. We believe in holistic care—offering not just shelter, but stability, dignity, and the tools to thrive. Every day, we work alongside individuals facing real challenges, and together, we build stronger futures and healthier communities.

Garden State Home offers a variety of housing options. Whether you are a homeless individual or family, aging-out youth, or in need for permanent housing, GSH has many options that could suit your needs.

Garden State Home assists eligible tenants facing eviction by pairing them up with resource navigators who will link them with social service support, case management, immediate problem-solving intervention, flexible direct financial assistance and access to legal services.

The goal of the Street Outreach program is to engage homeless youth and individuals who are precariously housed and link them to supportive housing services in Monmouth County.

Through the LRAP program, GSH will identify 1 - 4 family homes built before 1978 and assess the unit for the presence of lead-based paint hazards. If your home meets these requirements and is situated within Mercer, Middlesex, or Union Counties, you may be eligible for this program.

    my safe place…My own little oasis where I know I can be at peace from whatever the outside world may bring on any given day. I personally am disabled so life is rough but Garden State Homes literally from day one have been the kindest, most helpful, compassionate people I've met in a long time.
